Social Sciences Research Methods Programme | SSRMP

Opportunities with the SSRMP

Several SSRMP modules employ demonstrators to help students with statistical analysis packages in practical sessions.
There are also opportunities to work as a tutor, giving one-to-one support to postgraduate students to help them apply research methods in the context of their own projects.

If you would like to work for us in one of these roles, please take a look at the Core Modules that we offer, and then complete the form below. Your details will be added to our database.

Please note:

  • We do not employ demonstrators for modules teaching qualitative methods;
  • Entering your details does not guarantee that you will receive any offers of work;
  • You must be able to produce proof of your right to work in the United Kingdom;
  • You must be a current student/staff/affiliate of the University of Cambridge, and have a CRSid;
  • Tutoring is by private arrangement between tutors and students or departments; the SSRMP's role is to put the two together;
  • We pay demonstrators the standard University rate (£12.02/hour plus £1.65/hour holiday allowance in 2019-20);
  • We recommend that tutors are paid the same rate, but this may vary by arrangement
  • We will only share the information you give us with relevant people, in ways that you specify in your application.
